Birds & Pocket Pets
Quality Care from Our Arlington Veterinarians
At Arlington Pet Care Hospital, we are well known for treating dogs and
cats, but did you know that we can also help other furry or feathered
family members? Our experience and insights extend to many species and
we provide a variety of quality services for birds and "pocket pets,"
like ferrets, rabbits, guinea pigs, and hamsters. We extend the same level
of care and compassion to all of our patients, so you can trust that,
no matter the species, your pet will be in good hands with our capable
veterinarians and staff members.

Treating Rabbits, Hamsters, Guinea Pigs, Ferrets & Birds
Birds and other companion mammals can find care for a variety of illnesses
and issues at our animal hospital. We use the latest
diagnostic techniques, including noninvasive x-rays and ultrasounds to diagnose your pets. We
also have an in-house laboratory to test blood and urine samples without
having to wait for an outside lab’s results.
Conditions we treat include, but are not limited to:
- Issues related to pregnancy
- Medications and diet recommendations to treat a variety of conditions
- Surgical concerns after serious injury or to treat an internal condition
Dental procedures and extractions
- Broken bones
Birds and small mammals often have different medical requirements than
dogs and cats. We will always take the time to perform a
comprehensive exam before recommending any course of treatment. This includes a physical
exam of your pet, asking you questions about their normal behaviors, and
any necessary laboratory or diagnostic work.
